Harbert Realty’s Lacey Scott represented the tenant, Performix Metallurgical Additives, LLC, in a 46,000 SF long term lease at 5000 Commerce Avenue in Birmingham, AL. Performix supplies metallurgical additives to the steel and foundry industries, including briquettes, slag conditioners, insulators, and tundish fluxes. Performix was recently acquired by Opta Group LP, a leading supplier of performance materials and specialty chemical solutions, serving the specialized needs of the steel, aluminum, copper, glass, cement, and chemical industries. Ironvest’s Jordan Weaver and Bart Moore represented the landlord, PD Commerce, LLC.
