Dunkin’ will be opening another Birmingham metro location near the busy intersection of Highway 119 and Highway 280 in Hoover, Alabama.
Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard and Lacey Scott represented the Dunkin’ franchisee, Bluemont Group, on their 5th Alabama location in a lease for the 2,000 SF endcap drive-thru at the newly planned +/-13,000 sf retail development, Cahaba Market, with opening expected late 2021. Dunkin’ will be joined by Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Anatole’s Bike Shop at the upcoming development.
Casey Howard stated, “Our team is thrilled to represent Dunkin’ and Bluemont Group on yet another Alabama location to grow their successful store portfolio. They are a phenomenal group to work with and have proven successful time and time again in opening strong locations that serve the community and their customers well.
We knew Dunkin’ needed to have a presence in this part of the Hwy 280/Greystone/Tattersall market in Birmingham and while very challenging to find sites along this part of the corridor that fit, this one was a win for all involved. With access directly off Hwy 280, this site benefits from strong traffic and visibility being near the intersection of 280 & Hwy 119, and next to the new Publix-anchored Tattersall development.
The new Dunkin’ location will feature the brand’s new Next Gen modern design and in-store innovations, a drive-thru and mobile pickup area available for app orders, and a digital order status board enabling order tracking.
Bluemont Group has been in operation since 2008 and is one of Dunkin’s leading franchisees in the country, recently winning Dunkin’s prestigious, “National Developer of the Year” award. Over the past 10 years, Bluemont Group has grown from just a few stores in Knoxville and Chattanooga, to owning and operating 45 stores in Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. Their team has over 60 years of combined real estate, equity management, and franchise operations experience.
