Harbert Retail Represents Buyer in NNN Medical Acquisition

Harbert Retail announced today that it has represented the Buyer in a successful acquisition of a NNN medical office investment occupied by North Georgia Eye Institute and Medlink located at 773 North Main Street in Clayton, GA.

The Buyer, a wholly owned subsidiary of Merem Capital, is managed by and registered to Matthew Lemak. Lemak was named the Chief Executive Officer at Mountain Lakes Medical Center in October of 2020, after its ownership changed hands.

Casey Howard of Harbert Realty stated, “This was a big win for our client. We see this as a quality asset in a market which has limited to no inventory of a similar nature for medical companies.” She further stated, “I believe the Lemaks’ unique visibility in the market and healthcare made this an ideal acquisition to add to their portfolio and provides them with an investment that yields great returns, both short and long-term . We also had a fantastic team help with this acquisition that included Rhett Owens and the legal team with Hall Booth Smith, as well as Synovus Bank on financing.

According to Merem Capital’s website, it owns, operates, develops, and manages over 200,000 square feet of commercial properties throughout the southeast through several of its wholly owned subsidiaries.
