Popbar and Baba Java Coffee will be joining The Edge, a new mixed-use development coming to Homewood, Alabama. The development includes micro-restaurants, retail, event/green space and outdoor activity areas. Centrally located between West Homewood and Edgewood on Green Springs Hwy., The Edge offers walkability to two of the areas fastest growing neighborhoods. Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard and Charlie Norton represent the ownership of the property.
Currently, Phase 1 has micro-restaurant spaces and a 3,172 sf restaurant/bar space, including patio, still available for lease. Phase 2 will bring an approximately 5,000 SF single-story building to be delivered around May 2024 and will offer 1,000- 5,000sf retail.
Popbar and Baba Java Coffee will be situated with prime visibility along Green Springs Highway. This will be Popbar’s second Alabama location and Baba Java’s third location.
Popbar is a traditional Italian gelateria with a twist of modern dessert fun. Specializing in all-natural, handcrafted gelato on a stick, their menu includes 60+ flavors and offers vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and Kosher options. Popbar has locations across the US as well as a shop in Canada and Portugal.
Baba Java coffee is a local Birmingham coffee company offering specialty coffee since it opened its doors in Hoover in 2019. Excellence from farm to cup is their mission and they accomplish this by providing excellent coffee, customer service and education. They serve a variety of coffee and tea options in their café’s as well as offering online subscription coffee services.
